In 2013, husband and wife team Nick Behr and Sara Burrows founded the business after seeking innovative ways to become better home gardeners out of their Chicago apartment. Through trial and error, plenty of research and many late nights, they developed the initial line of hydroponic planters and successfully funded the Hydroplanted on Kickstarter. Today, a wide-range of products include ways to help people garden and grow better anywhere, from the smallest apartment to an office to a backyard garden. We have our company office, manufacturing and warehouse facilities all in Chicago. The company has expanded in size but maintains its broad-shoulder, can-do Chicago sensibilities.
